Education & Associations

The modern world changes instantaneously, what you learned yesterday is outdated today.  Modern photography is becoming the hybrid of technology & art, and staying out in front of those changes is becoming harder and harder.  There are an endless array of digital editing software programs available to photographers, and new ones pop up all the time.  If a photographer charges you for the time they have invested in your wedding, and they are using out-of-date technology, it would take them longer to edit your images.  Ultimately, this costs you more money!!

This is why I constantly invest in my own education, which is an on-going process.  I have attended “Digital Work-Flow” courses, “Digital Wedding Photography” courses, and more recently became a member of the WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International).  Last summer I attended the Maine Media Workshops “Digital Wedding Photography” course, which was taught by a fantastic photographer from New York, Steve Sint.  Joining the WPPI affords me the opportunity to network and learn from other professional wedding photographers, and improves the quality of my work.

I do all of this for my customers.  All the time, effort, energy, and expense of going to workshops and joining professional organizations is for your satisfaction and piece of mind.  I want to ensure that you get the best product that I can deliver, at a price that is affordable and reasonable.
